Job Overview:
The EH&S Manager is responsible for establishing and executing programs to ensure Health and Safety compliance for the Client account within their respective region. These programs must encompass systematic plans for daily management and improvement, incorporating effective reporting and progress review methods. The role involves providing guidance and assistance to regional directors, site management, program owners, and site personnel across multiple facilities to ensure compliance with EH&S requirements through the development, organization, implementation, and upkeep of policies, procedures, and initiatives.
This role is highly visible and operates in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must ensure that key stakeholders, including employees and clients, receive timely, relevant information and appropriate guidance on EH&S matters. They should possess a keen awareness of EH&S risks and be capable of fostering a strong culture of health and safety to deliver exceptional EH&S results, enhanced productivity, and flawless execution.
As a member of the Work Dynamics EH&S team, the individual will contribute to the implementation of the JLL EH&S strategy, reporting directly to the Global Account Director. Day-to-day accountability lies with the JLL Account Global EH&S Director, with regular reporting on EH&S performance across the account to the Account Leadership team and the Client.
Key stakeholders include the account leads for regional Operations, account country leads, Engineering, Risk & Compliance, Finance, HR, Projects, and Client Corporate Real Estate Team leads.
Responsibilities:
* Implement comprehensive EH&S programs and initiatives compliant with regulatory requirements, fostering employee participation and accountability.
* Lead a team of Safety and Contract Risk Management Professionals to implement, document, and standardize site-specific programs effectively meeting CPI/KPI’s and legal requirements.
* Develop and deliver training in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, ensuring proper documentation.
* Assist sites in conducting job safety analysis and developing safe work procedures.
* Conduct safety inspections and program audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Collect and provide data and reports to support the Client’s compliance programs.
* Participate in compliance audits across sites.
* Ensure incident investigation, root-cause analysis, recordkeeping, and follow-ups are conducted, making prevention recommendations based on investigation results.
* Monitor recordkeeping and reporting performance for Risk-related requirements and objectives.
* Develop and implement ISO management systems (e.g., ISO 14001 and 45001) across multiple sites or regions, ensuring compliance and certification.
* Provide guidance to site managers and EHS teams to establish and maintain ISO-related documentation, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
* Conduct regular audits and assessments to verify ISO compliance and address non-conformities.
* Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate ISO certification and maintain ongoing compliance.
* Ensure environmental regulations compliance across all sites, monitoring and reporting on environmental performance indicators.
* Develop and implement strategies and programs to minimize environmental impacts and promote sustainable practices.
* Coordinate environmental monitoring activities, including air quality testing, water sampling, and waste management.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 10 years EH&S management experience within Operational Management systems, working with corporate clients.
* Strong understanding of EH&S regulatory environment for the relevant area.
* Relevant Professional EH&S qualifications and memberships.
* Degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred, with knowledge of safety requirements, risk management, and data automation.
* Strong cultural awareness, ethical standards, and collaborative skills.
* Ability to work effectively with others at all levels and across organizations, achieving results through indirect influence.
* Proficiency in delivering EH&S training to large audiences, both in-person and remotely.
* Proficient in basic computer applications and software such as MS Office programs and Outlook.
