Role Overview:

In this influential role, you’ll drive the development and evaluation of our business strategy to deliver measurable impact for our customers and ensure we’re positioned for success and growth.
This is a roam role, so you’ll work from home and a couple of days a week from our fantastic office at Hudson Quay in Middlesbrough. We’ll need you to be flexible around business and team need, so you may need to come into the office more frequently when required.

Key Responsibilities:
* Shape our big picture thinking by managing strategic planning, performance frameworks, research, and policy insights, so decisions are grounded in evidence and progress is clear.
* Make sure key strategies, like EDI and ESG, are aligned and deliver measurable results. You’ll embed data and impact measurement across all strategic work.
* Oversee our performance management framework and establish reporting methods that keeps us accountable and on track.
* Identify risks and opportunities through horizon scanning and policy analysis.
* Design and implement a strategic research plan that turns insights into action to drive strategy, service improvements and growth plans.
* Lead a team of five strategy professionals, giving them the support and direction they need to make all of this happen.
About You:
* Experience of turning policy and insight into meaningful reporting that drives performance and strategically influences decision-making.
* In-depth knowledge of UK housing policy and the political landscape shaping social housing.
* You’ll have operated at a senior level, using research, policy analysis, and data insights to inform strategy and impact.
* Skilled in translating complex information into clear insight, recommendations, and actions.
* A confident leader with a track record of designing, delivering, and presenting frameworks to monitor organisational achievements and results effectively.
* An exceptional communicator who can build great relationships and influence stakeholders at every level.
