Job Description:
We are looking for multi-skilled maintenance engineers to join a renowned British appliance manufacturer with a rich heritage spanning almost years. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for servicing and repairing equipment to maintain all plant and machinery, ensuring smooth production. You may also be required to install new plant and machinery.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Attend breakdowns, assess causes, dismantle, and determine the best repair methods
* Install replacement components or perform repairs using lathes, cutting/grinding machinery, welding equipment, etc.
* Check tolerances and clearances during re-assembly and test equipment for safe and effective operation post-repair
* Conduct planned preventative maintenance as per schedule
* Assess repair/replacement needs and coordinate with management on repair timings
* Respond to equipment faults, perform adjustments or repairs as necessary
* Utilise hydraulic and pneumatic drawings for fault diagnosis
* Identify appropriate replacement parts using manufacturer specifications and order as needed
* Ensure all equipment complies with health and safety legislation after repairs
* Follow safe working practices, including isolation and key exchange procedures
* Complete job tickets and reports as required
The Offer
Pay: £18.08 per hour plus shift allowance of £1.31
Shifts: Mornings, Afternoons, Nights
Mornings: 6am - 2pm (Monday to Thursday), 6am - 1pm (Friday)
Afternoons: 2pm - 10pm (Monday to Thursday), 1pm - 8pm (Friday)
Nights: 10pm - 6am (Monday to Thursday), 8pm - 3am (Friday)
