Mencap are seeking Relief Support Workers to join our incredible team in Omagh.
As a Relief Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.
What we're looking for:
* Someone who is caring and patient and has a genuine passion for supporting others.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
* Supporting people with their finances (paying bills, doing shopping etc.)
* You will actively be reducing social isolation by supporting to social groups & activities.
* Personal care - helping people get ready for the day. This will include support with medication and assisting with all aspects of personal care e.g. showering and to use the bathroom.
Contract options:
All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
* Days: are normally 12 hours and start between 7am and 9am
* Waking Nights: 9.00pm - 9.00am
There is also a non contractual sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £ 63.70.
