Events Account Manager (maternity cover) – Factory International
As our Events Account Manager, you will play a key role within the Commercial Events team, responsible for managing and growing our portfolio of commercial event bookings at Aviva Studios. Your focus will be on nurturing client relationships, ensuring seamless event sales delivery, and contributing to the achievement of ambitious revenue targets. You’ll support the sales pipeline, monitor performance against targets, and work to maximise occupancy and revenue across all event spaces. Reporting to the Head of Events and working closely with our scheduling, producing and technical teams, you will be instrumental in attracting and managing outstanding events across all Aviva Studios spaces. This fixed-term maternity cover role requires a strategic mindset and a flair for identifying and growing revenue streams that reflect the venue’s creative vision, while ensuring long-term success and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
* Managing relationships with existing and prospective clients, agencies, and direct corporations, ensuring high levels of service, retention, and repeat business while expanding our network and reach
* Driving revenue growth and maximising sales by identifying and securing new commercial event opportunities; ensuring the events strategy delivers strong results across occupancy and income generation
* Working with the Head of Events and the wider Commercial team to monitor performance against the business plan and financial targets; contributing to strategic planning and helping to secure opportunities that enhance commercial success
* Leading business development activities, attending industry and programmed events; promoting Aviva Studios as a premier venue for hire and growing awareness of our offer while expanding your professional network
* Managing designated target sectors, developing a focused business development plan, and building a robust pipeline of opportunities
* Championing exceptional client and customer experiences and implementing improvements that reflect our values and elevate the event journey
* Collaborating with Scheduling, Producing and Technical teams to ensure commercial events run smoothly within the venue
* Ensuring accurate communication of spend, income, and post-event billing details in line with internal systems; providing timely financial reporting and updates to support informed decision-making
Qualifications
Essential
* Proven people and client management skills with the ability to influence and communicate confidently
* Experience working with event and brand agencies; understanding of the events industry, corporate and public events
* Experience delivering across multiple successful commercial events and conferences
* Proven track record of converting event enquiries into sales
* Proactive, flexible and resilient to deliver results against targets
* Financial literacy, including experience with costings, quotes and budget management
* High attention to detail and ability to deliver to a high standard
* Commitment to championing representation and inclusion with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
Desirable
* Experience working internationally
* Experience with scheduling software
* Understanding of event planning, logistics, and execution
* Enthusiasm for training, mentoring and supporting emerging talent
Please note: this is a fixed-term maternity cover role.

* Salary range: £33,000–£35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
