We maintain and manage the Councils vehicle and plant fleet in line with the legislation set by DVSA and the Traffic Commissioner The ideal candidate will have practical and demonstrable knowledge in O Licence management, including the following key skills: · Licence Management · Management of driver / vehicle infringements · Delivering Driver CPC training · Experience of conducting transport compliance audits · Knowledge of Road Traffic Legislation · Hold a C class driving licence or be prepared to train to do so · Experience of Conducting driver assessments · Capability for improving driver performance · Management of vehicle telemetry · Management of Vehicle Operating Centres · A good level of literacy and numeracy and be able to speak fluent English at a level appropriate to carry out the role and have skills and abilities to communicate with operatives, supervisor, managers and customers. · Able to work independently and as part of a team. · Must be able to work under pressure and achieve deadlines. · Be computer literate and be able to use tablets / handhelds to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the role · The ability to assimilate data into reports for senior manager consideration / action.
