Job Description
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Patient Care Technician (PCT) work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. They perform multi-skilled duties within their training and certification to care for patients.
Responsibilities include assisting the nursing team with patient care activities such as helping with personal hygiene, dressing, walking, changing bed linens, and transporting patients for tests and procedures. They may also serve and collect food trays, provide between-meal nourishment, and record vital signs under supervision.
Additional Job Details
Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Required Licensure, Certifications, and Registrations: Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant in South Carolina or ability to obtain it. Must maintain American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
