The Chief Engineer / Temporary Works Coordinatorrole
The TemporaryWork Coordinator(TWC) is responsiblefor overseeingall aspects of temporary workson construction projects. This includes design coordination, compliance, programming, and assurance. The TWC acts as the key liaisonbetween temporary worksdesigners and site teams, ensuring safe and compliant implementation.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate all temporary works activitiesand maintain the Temporary WorksRegister.
* Ensure design briefs are accurate and align withsite requirements.
* Oversee design checks, approvals, and issue permits to load/dismantle.
* Supervise erection, use, maintenance, and dismantling of temporary works.
* Implement and monitor change controlprocesses.
* Conduct inspections, audits, and ensure proper maintenance.
* Review and approve contractor or in-house designs.
* Manage interfaces across production and subcontractorteams.
Your Profile
* Holds a valid TWC CITB Certification(or equivalent)and CSCS card.
* Degree or equivalentexperience in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Proven experience in temporary workson large infrastructure/construction projects.
* Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder managementskills.
* Full driving licence.
