Position
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the team within Ayrshire Maternity Unit as a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant.
What you will do
* Band 3 staff are pivotal for the smooth day to day running of Maternity Services. The support to all staff and service users that they provide is vital.
* There are numerous opportunities to work within the multi-disciplinary environment across all departments including Maternity Theatre, Intrapartum, Inpatient ward and Maternity Assessment Unit.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job
* You will assist and support in the provision of a comprehensive maternity care service by providing assistance to the midwives, nurses and ODPs to deliver care to women and babies throughout their time at AMU.
* In addition to the delivery of direct service user care, the Band 3 Healthcare assistants ensure that stock levels of all supplies are maintained and perform housekeeping duties, to support the smooth running of the clinical area. This includes ensuring that infection control policies and procedures are adhered to by all staff, women, partners and visitors.
* Their role in undertaking the decontamination of furnishings and equipment used in all clinical areas is pivotal to the smooth, safe and effective delivery of all services.
