Rate: Competitive Day Rate (Inside IR35) (£400 - £450)

You'll be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, responsible for leading sourcing initiatives, negotiating contracts, and delivering robust supplier strategies across high-value direct components.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead strategic sourcing and negotiations for direct material categories, including aerospace and industrial components.
* Conduct cost breakdowns and total cost of acquisition (TCA) analysis to drive cost savings.
* Manage end-to-end procurement strategies and supplier selection processes.
* Support bid preparation by aligning supplier capability and cost with project needs.
* Negotiate contracts and terms to minimise commercial risk and ensure continuity of supply.
* Collaborate with engineering, quality, and project management teams to align procurement with project deliverables.
* Drive value engineering and resourcing strategies across global supply bases.
* Monitor and report procurement KPIs and project spend.
What We’re Looking For
* 10+ years’ experience in strategic procurement, commodity management, or direct sourcing.
* Strong commercial acumen with proven contract negotiation skills.
* Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost/value engineering.
* Ability to work independently and manage supplier relationships across global, matrixed organisations.
* Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, cost modelling).
* Experience working on large-scale, project-based procurement in technical or engineering environments.
* Bachelor’s degree essential; CIPS and/or Master’s degree preferred.
