Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. This role involves accurately preparing and dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on safety, precision, and patient service, contributing to the wellbeing of our community.
Duties
* Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy guidelines
* Assist pharmacists in preparing medication orders and managing stock levels
* Provide clear information to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions
* Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
* Support medication administration processes within the pharmacy setting
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and pharmacy policies
* Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and ordering supplies as needed
* Deliver excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on over‑the‑counter products when appropriate
Experience
* Previous pharmacy technician experience is highly desirable
* Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols
* Experience in patient care settings, demonstrating strong communication skills and empathy
* Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and record keeping practices is advantageous
