Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (Additional Needs)

Reed Education is seeking Teaching Assistants who are dedicated to supporting children’s learning and development to work 1:1 with pupils with additional needs across a range of schools in Scunthorpe and the surrounding areas.

The Role
In this role, you will provide tailored 1:1 support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence and develop independence within the school environment. Needs may include:
* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
* Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
* Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
* Complex medical needs
* Social, emotional and behavioural needs
What We’re Looking For
We are keen to hear from candidates who are:
* Dedicated to supporting children’s learning and development, particularly those with additional needs
* Experienced in supporting children with additional needs (essential)
* Experienced in school settings (highly desirable)
* From transferable backgrounds such as care, support work, youth work or healthcare (considered)
* Patient, compassionate and resilient
* Confident in building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
* Able to obtain an enhanced DBS and register on the DBS Update Service
