We are looking to hire a fast-learning, highly driven graduate to learn Compliance for a Wealth Management firm. You should have at least 1 year of experience in a professional role, ideally in financial services, accounting, or consultancy, and possess a strong desire to learn.
You should have decent skills in managing information in Excel, a willingness to deliver results, and curiosity about the rules and regulations that ensure the safety of Financial Services. The role involves tasks ranging from administrative duties to reworking critical management information, with a supportive team eager to help you succeed.
About the role
Your senior stakeholders will include the Head of Compliance, Assurance Director, and Financial Crime Manager.
You will support these stakeholders by handling various compliance tasks, including working on management information, regulatory filings, and supporting financial crime investigations. Prior experience in a professional services environment is preferred, but a strong curiosity to learn regulations is essential.
As part of a medium-sized company, you will receive informal coaching and be expected to self-learn, with guidance provided as needed.
Accountabilities
1. Manage the Consumer Duty Dashboard for the Assurance Director.
2. Lead management information efforts feeding into board reports.
3. Produce and deliver compliance reports for leadership presentation.
4. Support regulatory filings and reports.
5. Assist the Head of Compliance with administrative tasks.
6. Support the Financial Crime Manager with client onboarding, due diligence, AML investigations, and transaction monitoring.
7. Perform compliance due diligence on third parties.
8. Handle ad-hoc administrative duties related to system and database inquiries.
9. Contribute to projects embedding Consumer Duty understanding.
10. Develop knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
11. Investigate compliance breaches and support remedial actions.
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 1 year in a professional environment, preferably in Financial Services, Accounting, or similar.
* Proficiency in analyzing data in spreadsheets, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
* Tech-savvy, comfortable with shared documents and various systems.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong written English skills for policy writing and communication.
* Motivated to deliver high-quality work, understanding the importance of work-life balance.
