Nights - 48 hours per week, 4 days per week
EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a CNC Turner to join a precision engineering company located in Birmingham.
Our client is a well established advanced manufacturing business that specialises in machining small, sub assembly components for high-profile, leading organisations within the aerospace industry.
As part of the companies growth strategy, they are looking to bring onboard a skilled CNC Turner to work on their night shift, to help increase output and add further expertise.
Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.
Key Benefits on offer:
* £27 - £33 per hour (inside IR35) depending on experience
* 48 hours per week, 4 days per week
* Shift: Nights
* Contract: Initially 3 months, with possible extension to 6 months
Your responsibilities include:
* Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes using Fanuc controls
* Machine complex components for predominantly the aerospace industry
* Work to tight tolerances using engineering drawings and specifications
* Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
* Perform machine maintenance and support continuous improvement initiatives
* Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimise workflow and efficiency
Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:
* Minimum of 2 years experience programming, setting and operating CNC Turning machines / lathes using Fanuc controls
* Worked on a minimum of 2 axis lathes
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings
* Previous experience of machining metallic complex components, ideally within aerospace
