Senior HR Generalist will provide comprehensive, professional, and proactive HR service to the Wakefield Site, while also supporting wider UK HR activities as required. They will work with the site‑based management teams and employees to provide advice and guidance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Employee Relations and Case Management
o Lead and manage a range of employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance issues.
o Provide expert, risk‑based advice to managers in line with company policy and UK employment law.
o Prepare documentation, conduct investigations and attend hearings where required.
o Ensure all cases are managed in a timely, fair and legally compliant manner.
* Site HR Support
o Act as the primary HR contact for the Wakefield Facility.
o Build strong relationships with managers and employees to support engagement and performance.
o Provide coaching and guidance to line managers on best practice people management.
o Support workforce planning and organisational change initiatives.
* Performance and Development
o Support performance management processes including appraisals, PIPs and capability procedures.
o Advise managers on managing underperformance and improving team effectiveness.
o Work with managers to identify development needs and support talent progression.
* Policy and Compliance
o Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures across the site.
o Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law and best practice.
o Support audits and ensure HR records are accurate and compliant.
o Promote a culture of fairness, consistency and accountability.
* Absence and Wellbeing Management
o Monitor absence trends and support managers in reducing absence levels.
o Advise on occupational health referrals and reasonable adjustments.
o Support wellbeing initiatives and promote a positive working environment.
* Recruitment and Onboarding Support
o Support hiring managers with recruitment processes where required.
o Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new starters.
o Provide guidance on selection processes and best practice.
* Cross‑Site / UK Support
o Provide HR support to other UK sites as required.
o Assist with HR projects, policy updates and business‑wide initiatives.
o Support consistency of HR practices across multiple locations.
Education And Experience
* CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent
* Proven experience in a generalist HR role or Senior Advisor level
* Strong employee relations experience with the ability to manage complex cases independently.
* Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
* Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.

The hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm and Friday 8.30 am to 2.30 pm.
Pay Rate: £38,000 pa to £45,000 pa depending on experience
