In a Nutshell

As Assistant Restaurant Manager you will always be busy looking after the team and our guests so this role will require stamina, energy and enthusiasm in spades. We have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to be part of something special as we launch our new restaurant BOTANICA. Our perfect candidate will be someone who has a passion for Food and Beverage and who knows how to communicate this to the team.

Your organisation skills will be put to good use joining a team of 10, being responsible operationally for the restaurant and the bar in the Spa. Our beautiful location and fabulous grounds set in the Sussex countryside provide a wonderful environment to work in. We offer our guests the best possible experience whether working out in the gym, enjoying the poolside service or relaxing in the restaurant after a treatment.

Our friendly and hospitable team will deliver a welcoming and luxurious service, ensuring our guests have everything they need to make their time with us memorable. Your role is to nurture the team and to play a key role in the launch of this fabulous new Restaurant.

Role Responsibility

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will be responsible for…

1. Assisting the manager in forecasting the business in terms of covers and sales figures
2. Assisting the manager in creating and executing plans for department sales, profit and employee development
3. Assisting the manager in determining restaurant occupancy and utilisation rates to facilitate best practice in turning tables
4. Recruiting, training and motivating staff
5. Employee performance management
6. Effective rostering of staff in line with business needs
7. Ensuring guest satisfaction through high quality service and good public relations
8. Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene and health and safety
9. Checking stock levels and ordering supplies

15. Have previous experience in a similar environment

17. Have excellent communication skills
18. Be determined to create a memorable guest experience
