Our client is seeking a highly experienced Digital Content Design Manager to lead the transformation of their digital guidance services. This is a unique opportunity to shape how digital content is created, managed, and delivered to key public audiences. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and expert content designer with a passion for accessibility, user-centred design, and service transformation. This role is central to a high-impact project aiming to improve the digital experience for guidance seekers and internal stakeholders alike.
Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of a new user-centred digital guidance service, improving how guidance content is written, structured, reviewed, and published.
* Drive the redevelopment of guidance functionality on the corporate website, advocating for user journey improvements aligned with organisational strategy.
* Manage a key workstream within a wider website redevelopment project, collaborating with digital communications teams and external agencies using data, user research, and prototyping to shape guidance content delivery.
* Design and implement new content management solutions and workflows, ensuring scalable, efficient processes that support compliance and complex sign-off requirements.
* Provide expert strategic advice to senior leadership on content creation and management, contributing to long-term digital content strategy and content lifecycle planning.
* Use project and budget management tools to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure project interdependencies and deliverables are well-coordinated.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a senior or lead content design role, ideally within a regulatory or public sector environment.
* Deep knowledge of user-focused digital content design principles and accessibility standards.
* Strong background in implementing and managing content management systems (CMS) and long-term content workflows.
* Demonstrated ability to lead digital transformation initiatives, using analytics and user feedback to drive decision-making.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trust and influence technical and non-technical teams.
* Skilled in Agile and UX methodologies, with strong organisational capabilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
* Ability to write clear, accessible content in plain English and champion best practices in digital content design.
