Job Description Hospital Vet (6-Month Fixed Term) – No Weekends or On-Call We’re on the lookout for an experienced Vet to join our friendly, supportive team at our RCVS-accredited hospital for a six-month fixed term contract – covering a sabbatical starting end of April. If you’re confident with hospital work, enjoy a varied caseload, and love being part of a collaborative team, we’d love to hear from you. What’s the role? Full-time (36 hours per week) – part-time considered 4-day week | 8:45am–6:45pm (occasionally 8am–6pm) No on-call or weekends – we’ve got a dedicated night team Up to £70,000 (pro-rata) depending on experience You’ll be based at our busy hospital, working a mix of inpatient care and ops days. You’ll also pick up the occasional emergency consult and may help the first opinion team from time to time – but no full consult days. Confidence with surgeries like splenectomies, amputations, and lap spays would be great, and experience with more complex medical cases is a big plus. But most importantly, we’re looking for someone who fits in well with the team – someone supportive, approachable, and keen to share knowledge and experience with others. What’s the hospital like?
