Job Description
We are seeking a qualified teacher of Mathematics to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 at a special school in east Birmingham.
The school caters for young people with autism spectrum disorder, social emotional mental health issues and associated needs. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about making a difference and improving educational outcomes for pupils with additional needs.We are seeking interest from candidates who:
* Hold UK QTS or QTLS with Mathematics
* Have experience of working with pupils with ASC and SEMH, gained preferably in a special school
* Are passionate about their subject and can deliver lessons in an engaging manner
* Can motivate, encourage and develop students’ interest in the subject
* Are good team players
* Are resilient and committed to improving educational attainment of pupils with SEND
* Ideally have experience of working with young people who have been excluded or are unable to access mainstream education
* Are drivers and have their own car as the school is difficult to access on public transport
