Sales Manager – Arapina Bakery
Location: Deptford, London SE8 5JB Salary: Competitive + commission
Hours: 3 days per week 9am-5pm but with some flexibility and aspiration to reach 5 day role
Reports to: CEO / Head of Marketing
Role Overview
We're seeking a dynamic and commercially savvy Sales Manager to lead our growth across catering, wholesale, and event channels. You'll be the driving force behind expanding our client base—from wedding planners and corporate buyers to cafés, delis, and caterers—turning delicious products into thriving partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution – A planned approach, proactive, building knowledge of the market, generating own leads
Develop and implement a sales plan targeting caterers, wholesalers, and event clients
Identify new business opportunities and convert leads into long-term customers
Manage the full sales cycle - outreach, pitching, quoting, closing, and passing to colleagues for onboarding through to delivery
Build strong relationships with wedding planners, event coordinators, and hospitality buyers. A good understanding of the local and particular healthy bake market
Client Relationship Management – Maintain regular contact with the key clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat orders. Includes initially getting to know our existing client base
Attend industry events, tastings, and expos to promote the brand, where felt appropriate and worthwhile
Oversee incoming orders, ensuring smooth handover to production and delivery teams
Maintain accurate and timely records of sales activity, forecasts, and client communications
Use CRM tools to track leads, follow-ups, and conversion rates
Work closely with marketing to align with businesses strategy and seasonal campaigns
Provide feedback to product development based on client needs and market trends
Represent the bakery with professionalism and passion at all times
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within food, hospitality, or events
Strong network across catering, wholesale, or event planning sectors
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Highly organised, self-motivated, and target-driven
Familiarity with CRM systems and order management tools
Passion for healthy baking, sustainability, and inclusive food culture
