1:1 Tutor – Sunderland and Surrounding Areas Teaching Personnel is currently seeking experienced and compassionate tutors to deliver face-to-face tuition for vulnerable pupils in Sunderland and the surrounding areas. We are looking for individuals who can commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week, with flexibility and potential for increased hours based on need. As a 1:1 tutor, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and delivering tailored educational programmes that meet the individual needs of each student. Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver personalised learning plans Conduct baseline assessments to determine current working levels Work collaboratively with residential staff, Social Workers, and other Local Authority professionals Deliver engaging, creative lessons to maintain student engagement Provide emotional support where necessary and act as a positive role model Show commitment to the educational progress and wellbeing of each young person We are looking for someone who: Has experience working with students who have SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs Is a fully qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) Is confident working independently and professionally in multi-agency environments Is passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children What we offer: A dedicated consultant to support your role and career development Exclusive access to our CPD Academy for ongoing training and development In-house payroll – no umbrella company fees Competitive pay: £25–£30 per hour If you're passionate about helping young people thrive through 1:1 education and meet the criteria above, we’d love to hear from you.
