Unqualified Teacher / Cover Supervisor – Secondary School – Chepstow
Location: Chepstow, Monmouthshire, Wales
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term-time only)
Start Date: September 2025
Pay Rate: £100 – £120 per day (dependent on experience)

We are seeking an Unqualified Teacher / Cover Supervisor to work in a friendly and supportive secondary school in Chepstow. This role is ideal for individuals considering a career in teaching or looking to build experience in the education sector.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will manage classrooms during teacher absences, delivering pre-prepared lessons, supporting pupils with their work, and ensuring a positive learning environment is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage secondary school classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons and follow provided lesson plans.
* Support students with their learning, offering guidance where needed.
* Maintain good behaviour in line with school policies.
* Communicate effectively with pupils, staff, and parents/guardians when required.
Requirements
* Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to apply).
* Two recent references.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (or willingness to apply).
* A genuine passion for working with young people and helping them achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
