REPORTING TO: The Rabbit Accommodation Manager
HOURS: Full Time, 5 days a week including weekends.
LOCATION: The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat, Templepatrick 882 Antrim Road, Templepatrick, Ballyclare.
SALARY: £14.37 per hour
About the role:
We have 33 uniquely designed bedrooms all home to seriously comfy beds and designed to scandi-inspired style. We offer four room types (Luxe, Comfy, Snug, Attic) which include all the creature comforts such as Nespresso Machine for your morning pick-me-up, Dyson Hairdryer for those GHD's and a Marshall amp for that getting-ready playlist. Not to mention fluffy robes & flip-flops for your trip to The Relaxation Burrow.
As Housekeeping Supervisor your main focus will be to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely fashion and rooms are ready for guests to check-in and enjoy throughout their stay. You will supervise a team of approximately 8 Housekeeping Assistants and report directly to the Accommodation Manager on a daily basis. This is a very busy role that requires excellent time management and communication skills. Job Description:
The main duties of this role include but are not limited to;
* Cleaning and servicing the hotel as directed by the Accommodation Manager.
* Supervise your team and provide a clear schedule of their daily duties.
* Assisting in training and development of housekeeping staff.
* Spot checking rooms daily ensuring all are clean and serviced to the correct high standards.
* Ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all cleaning machinery.
* Being fully conversant and comply with the health, safety, hygiene, fire, and security regulations and procedures of the hotel and ensuring others are aware of their responsibilities in this regard.
* Interacting with guests and complete any requests dealing tactfully, promptly, and discreetly with any problems or complaints.
* To carry out any other duties as requested by department heads or hotel management.
The Person:
Applicants must:
* Have at least 1-year housekeeping experience.
* Previous Hospitality experience (or an interest).
* The ability to supervise a team of people.
* Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Have great attention to detail.
* Display a flexible work approach.
Desirable
* Supervisory experience
* ICT skills.
