About the role
We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment, providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store's appearance.
You will play an important role in daily store operations, always aiming to improve customer service through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
You will be Responsible For:
* Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural service.
* Encouraging customer feedback through surveys.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
* Practicing safety in all tasks.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and contributing to profit goals.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
* Following the 'think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls and explaining actions to customers.
* Maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
* Potentially managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
* Following all training to ensure safety and legality.
If the store has a Post Office Local: Duties include managing daily operations of the post office, requiring passing a background check. Failure to pass will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
