Job: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Bedford
Salary: £45,000-£55,000 per annum
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join a client based in Bedford. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components.
Responsibilities:
* Designing and creating 3D models, assembly drawings, and detailed part drawings using CAD software.
* Performing structural and thermal analyses to ensure the integrity and performance of mechanical designs.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and improve existing products.
* Conducting testing and validation procedures to ensure product reliability and performance.
* Managing projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience in mechanical design and development.
* Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
* Strong knowledge of Engineering - Electrical and Engineering - Mechanical principles.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
