As a Store Layout Planning Manager you will lead and motivate a team of Layout Planners to deliver high-impact programmes, including "Magic Morrisons," category resets, and major projects like counter conversions and checkout rightsizing. You will be responsible for ensuring our store drawings are intelligent, accurate, and optimised to drive sales and profit across the estate.
Lead and motivate a team to create an effective working environment and strong colleague engagement.
Execute the format and space layout strategy while incorporating insight and feedback from both customers and colleagues.
Manage the category intervention calendar for all range reviews requiring macro space changes.
Analyse store performance and data to understand the drivers of space performance and provide the right local solutions for each store.
Build strong influential relationships cross-functionally with teams like Retail, Trading, and Merchandising to ensure plans meet deliverable objectives.
Maintain intelligent store drawings that provide critical information to downstream systems such as Planograms, SEL sequencing, and sales-based ordering.
Control the cost of external resources to maintain agility during peak times while balancing the growth of the core layout planning team.
About You
You are an experienced leader with a strong analytical background and a passion for retail. You know how to balance the conflicting objectives of space optimisation while keeping the customer at the heart of every decision.
You have a clear understanding of retail customers' needs and requirements to inform and drive improvements to stores.
You possess an extensive background in understanding how to prioritise space and layout requirements based on differing customer needs.
You are an experienced team leader and succession planner, capable of managing high-performing teams.
You have the commercial acumen to lead the delivery of store drawings for range reviews impacting sales.
You have a strong analytical background, with experience managing multiple data sources and making trade-offs to optimise space.
You are knowledgeable about store locations and environments, which supports your interpretation of performance and customer data
