Partner / Senior Solicitor – Restructuring & Insolvency

About the Role
Artemis Human Capital is partnering with a top-tier Belfast law firm to appoint an exceptional, commercially astute Partner or Senior Solicitor to join their growing Restructuring & Insolvency team. This is a strategic hire, offering a chance to lead, shape, and grow a well-established team that advises across a broad spectrum of restructuring, turnaround and insolvency work.
Key Responsibilities
* Advise debtor companies, secured and unsecured creditors, financial institutions, banks and insolvency practitioners on recovery, turnaround and insolvency matters.
* Lead on contentious and non-contentious restructurings (e.g., pre-pack sales, debt restructurings).
* Take ownership of key client relationships and help develop new business in the insolvency/restructuring space.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the team, driving excellence in both legal and commercial solutions.
* Represent the firm in high-stakes insolvency scenarios, including winding-up petitions, administrations, and personal insolvency matters.
Criteria
* A seasoned restructuring & insolvency practitioner, either at Partner level or senior-associate/director ready for partnership.
* Excellent technical knowledge of corporate and personal insolvency law.
* Proven track record of dealing with clients across different stakeholder groups (creditors, practitioners, companies).
* Strong commercial acumen: not just legal advice, but pragmatic restructuring solutions. This aligns with the team’s reputation for combining legal and commercial perspectives.
* Leadership experience with ability to manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team.Strong network in Northern Ireland and experience with local insolvency regime is highly desirable.
