Job Title: Design & Development EngineerLocation: High WycombeSalary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annumWe are supporting a growing engineering and manufacturing business in High Wycombe who are looking to recruit a Design & Development Engineer with strong SolidWorks experience. This role will suit someone who enjoys both hands-on development and technical design, contributing to the full lifecycle of new and existing products.Key Responsibilities:Creating high-quality 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.Supporting the full product development cycle from concept through to production.Improving and updating existing product designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.Working with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and suppliers.Supporting prototype builds, testing, validation, and reporting.Assisting in solving technical challenges and contributing innovative ideas to product improvements.Producing technical documentation, BOMs, and assembly instructions.Skills & Experience Required:Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modelling, 2D detailing, assemblies).Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.Experience in a design and development role within manufacturing or engineering.Good understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative engineering team.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and documentation abilities.If you’re interested in this opportunity, please apply or contact Charlotte White at cwhite@pg-rec.com for more information.
