The role The Compliance Analyst will have the opportunity to work closely with business leaders to drive enhancements and execute the company's Compliance programme. This person will also have regular and direct access to the Head of Compliance, Head of Compliance Advice and the Global Chief Risk Officer. The Compliance team covers a comprehensive view of business, regulatory and legal requirements for this global business. The role will offer significant and steep growth potential as part of a team that covers the entirety of the rapidly growing Group. The individual will be expected to act independently in the relevant activities and to support the goals of the overall Compliance function. The Compliance Analyst will add immediate value by picking up ownership of a set of particular tasks that have a significant impact to the overall Group. The Compliance Analyst will have the opportunity to learn about the key operations within the insurance sector including underwriting, claims, actuarial, risk, and finance. The Junior Compliance Analyst will be encouraged to spend time with various functions to better understand the processes and needs of the business. This role will provide unique insight and access into the world-class underwriting process and market-leading proprietary systems along with all other key functions for the business. The Junior Compliance Analyst will have to be highly organised, detail orientated and bring a genuine drive to learn. This person will need to be a strong communicator (written and verbal) with a high level of emotional intelligence. Key accountabilities Assisting with the regulatory requirements of new or changing insurance undertaking including binders, terms, legal requirements and other compliance considerations Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures Support the team to keep up-to-date with new regulatory requirements, including analysis of new rules across the globe (horizon scanning) Assessing and monitoring Conduct and Product Risk Monitoring underwriting activity for adherence to licensing and other requirements Grow your skills by participating in some of the many exciting business development projects that the Compliance team is involved in Provide support and co-ordinate regulatory applications and reporting Assist in creating and delivering training sessions on compliance related topics across the business Assist in the creation and distribution of online compliance training - e.g. financial crime and conduct Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of compliance throughout the organisation Assist with the distribution of Terms of Business Agreement contracts, and respond to Know Your Customer (KYC) requests Assist with the collation and analysis of management information Support the drafting of board and management reports Assist in resolving business compliance questions and financial crime related issues Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities Skills & experience Degree in Law, Finance, Business or related field or other equivalent qualifications or other degrees. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely explain complex information to colleagues across the business. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced organisation Attention to detail and commitment to upholding ethical standards. Strong written communication skills, including familiarity with Word and PowerPoint and ideally Excel Must be able to respond positively during busy periods through multi-tasking and effective prioritization against needs of business Competencies and Behaviours Analytical with a strong attention to detail A team player, with a strong interest in understanding, and contributing to the performance of, the business as a whole. Excellent Microsoft Office skills, in particular Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI Ability to support success and timely delivery in a complex, fast moving, multi-disciplinary environment Has personal drive and resilience in established and new/changing situations, with the ability to take initiative and prioritise tasks effectively. Commercially savvy, bright, energetic and positive with a 'can do' attitude
