Matchtech is supporting a key client with the requisition of a Rail Systems Test & Commissioning Engineer to join their dedicated team. This is a permanent role that focuses on leading the integration, execution, and resolution of testing activities across various rail systems disciplines, ensuring successful delivery during complex testing and commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute and coordinate system-level testing activities across key rail subsystems, including Traction Power, Signalling and Control, SCADA, and Telecoms.
Prepare and deliver core testing and assurance documentation, such as test scripts, test results, and non-conformance reports.
Support dynamic testing phases, including fault finding, investigation, and retesting activities.
Interface closely with construction teams to identify and resolve system readiness and handover issues.
Contribute to Safety Assurance by supporting the collation and documentation of evidence.
Act as deputy to the Tester in Charge (TIC) when required, providing support to testing leadership and coordination activities.

Job Requirements:
Strong background in rail systems testing, with Light Rail experience strongly preferred.
Proven experience working on integrated testing phases, beyond factory or component-level testing.
Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality documentation, with a strong focus on assurance and compliance.
Key skills in Test & Commissioning and Systems Engineering.
