SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Daily Rate: £90–£110
Protocol Education is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs in a supportive secondary school in Newcastle.
The school has a strong inclusion ethos and works closely with external agencies to support pupils with EHCPs, ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs. Staff benefit from clear systems, strong leadership and a collaborative working environment. The school is easily accessible via public transport.
Role overview:
* Providing tailored in-class and 1:1 support for students with SEN
* Supporting learning, communication and emotional regulation
* Assisting with differentiated activities and interventions
* Working closely with SENCOs and teaching staff
* Promoting independence and confidence in learning
We are looking for:
* Experience supporting SEN in secondary settings
* A nurturing, patient and proactive approach
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusion

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
