About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One's Woodside Court, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person working here understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and joining us offers a chance to give back to those individuals.
Your responsibilities include planning and implementing care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, helping to deliver personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you'll maintain high standards of care and influence your team positively. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, kindness is paramount.
Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you'll provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administer medication. Maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships are key parts of your role.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or equivalent and be willing to work towards Level 3. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia is preferred. Your positive energy, ability to communicate kindly, and effective time management are essential.
