Capital Programme Team – Property Portfolio The Property Portfolio plays an important role in delivering capital projects which enable Council Plan priorities and outcomes. Our work involves maintaining and improving Council assets including schools, corporate buildings, and leisure facilities. We also work on significant improvement projects including new and enhanced community and leisure facilities and school extensions. Increasingly across these projects we are looking to include decarbonisation measures which are in line with the Sustainable Buildings Strategy and help to meet the Council’s aspiration of being carbon net zero by 2037. Across the four programmes in the Property Portfolio the value of projects delivered each year is around £25m. To support the work of the Property Portfolio team we are looking to recruit a Programme Manager – Corporate Property. Who we are looking for… The Council is currently undertaking condition surveys of all its assets. Using these surveys you will develop, deliver and manage a maintenance and improvement programme across the portfolio of corporate assets which ensures that all buildings are compliant and safe, wind and watertight. With high levels of investment there are expectations that significant improvements can be made across the portfolio to support Council Plan priorities. Ideal candidates will have: Proven experience leading a programme of property related projects. Deep understanding of and practical experience of implementing project and programme management methodologies and governance. Strong experience operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior leadership level. Demonstrable experience of project and programme reporting, financial control, and benefits tracking.
