Energy Bid Manager
Join Equans UK & Ireland as an Energy Bid Manager. Equans is a leading energys & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group, delivering and managing renewable infrastructure projects worldwide.
Key Activities
* Reporting to the Business Development Director UK, the Energy Bid Manager is responsible for the successful delivery & management of Business Development activities in the Solar & Storage sector, focusing on Key Accounts (>$50m orders per annum).
* Primary focus is to secure solar and storage projects while articulating the wider capability of Equans UK & Ireland to support customers’ ambitions towards energy and digital transitions in other sectors such as Hydrogen, Decarbonisation, and O&M.
* Identify new opportunities and engage with existing and new customers at C‑suite level.
* Manage the tender process, coordinating internal stakeholders from early opportunity identification to binder offer validation.
* Contribute to the establishment of a 5‑year budget and monitor performance in securing new contracts, maintaining Salesforce updates, and reviewing the order book with finance.
* Collaborate across Equans UK&I and overseas to share knowledge, maximise customer relationships, and generate additional revenue.
* Report proactively any commercial, ethical, or operational concerns.
* Promote an excellent image of the company through professional customer and stakeholder engagement.
* Provide accurate information to internal teams for planning (commercial/finance, design/engineering, procurement, construction, recruitment/HR, CSR, legals).
* Market Intelligence: monitor and analyse policy and market developments, and develop comprehensive competition mapping to inform strategic decision‑making.
Skills, qualifications & experience
* Solid BD background in solar and storage with a successful track record in EPC, ICP, or OEM activities.
* Experience with large utility‑scale solar farms (>50 MWp), BESS projects (stand‑alone, AC or DC coupling), and Microgrid projects.
* Knowledge of key components: solar panels, inverters, BESS, HV equipment, mounting structures, SCADA, etc.
* Established background in the construction industry.
