Rotational Mammographer/Radiographer (Internal only)

North Devon District Hospital (NDDH) is part of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This role provides a developmental post combining clinical and academic training in breast imaging, with progression from Band 5 to Band 6 after completion of the Postgraduate Certificate in Mammography and Senior General Radiographer competencies.
Job responsibilities
* Perform mammography, including 3D tomosynthesis, stereotactic vacuum‑assisted biopsies and excisions, and future contrast‑enhanced spectral mammography (CESM).
* Rotate through the general imaging department and participate in the out‑of‑hours service.
* Provide patient care and compassionate communication as a proactive team member.
* Undertake clinical and academic training, including the required Postgraduate Certificate in Mammography.
* Progress to Band 6 upon successful completion of training and competency requirements.
Person Specification / Qualifications
* Band 5 level radiographer with successful completion of a Postgraduate Certificate in Mammography.
* Evidence of Senior General Radiographer competencies.
* Demonstrated ability to work proactively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to patient‑centred care and continuous professional development.
