Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
* Serve customers at the counter, taking orders accurately and efficiently
* Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area and food preparation surfaces
* Handle cash transactions and operate the till with accuracy
* Provide excellent customer service, addressing queries and upselling menu items where appropriate
* Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
* Assist in stock replenishment and inventory checks
* Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed
* Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
Qualifications
* Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
* Basic maths skills for handling transactions and cash register operations
* Experience in food preparation, serving, or kitchen work is advantageous
* Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy setting
* Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills
* Willingness to learn new skills and contribute positively to the team
