General Practitioner (GP) – Urgent Care Centre, St John’s Wood, London
* Salary: £70,000 - £90,000
* Full or part time considered.
* Location: St Johns Wood
Trident Healthcare are seeking an experienced and motivated General Practitioner (GP) to join a busy, well‑supported Urgent Care Centre in St John’s Wood, London. This is an excellent opportunity for a General Practitioner (GP) with strong urgent care, minor illness, or A&E experience who thrives in a fast‑paced clinical environment and enjoys working autonomously within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
The Urgent Care Centre is a walk‑in minor injuries unit open seven days a week (8am–8pm weekdays and 8am–6pm weekends and bank holidays). You will work alongside a minimum of two doctors and one nurse at all times, ensuring safe, efficient, high‑quality care for every patient who walks through the door.
Located in leafy St John’s Wood on the Jubilee Line, minutes from Central London, this independent private hospital has recently been rated number one in the country for patient care in the latest Bupa survey. Uniquely, all profits support the on‑site St John’s Hospice, providing free, high‑quality palliative care to the local community.
About the Role
As a General Practitioner (GP) in this Urgent Care Centre, you will deliver high‑quality clinical care in line with hospital and UCC policies, act as a role model and expert practitioner, and support junior staff. You will lead paediatric resuscitation when required, ensure accurate documentation using electronic medical records, and support the Casualty First Manager with team development. You may also deputise for the Clinical Lead, participate in audits and service improvement, and maintain up‑to‑date ALS and EPALS certifications. The role requires a commitment to patient‑centred care, safety, and continuous learning.
About You
To succeed in this role, you must be a GMC‑registered doctor on the GP register with experience in General Practice, Minor Illness, and A&E. Strong paediatric experience is essential, along with excellent diagnostic and examination skills. You should be confident working autonomously, able to make safe and timely decisions, and comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team. Evidence of CPD, strong communication skills, and a patient‑focused approach are key. Teaching experience and a minimum of two years post‑graduation experience are desirable.
This role is ideal for a General Practitioner (GP) who enjoys varied clinical work, thrives in urgent care settings, and values working within a supportive, well‑structured service.
