 
        
        Mission of the position
The Site-Project Planner is responsible for developing and managing manufacturing and project plans to meet business objectives and customer requirements. This role ensures that project and internal plans are accurately maintained and communicated, supporting effective decision-making. Reporting to the Site Planning, Production Control Manager and Program Planning, the Site-Project Planner collaborates closely with department heads, Manufacturing Project Managers at Newport, and Project Managers to ensure all stages of internal and external project plans are aligned with company standards. This position plays a key role in maintaining strong relationships among stakeholders across the site and project teams.
 
Functions and responsibilities
 * Develop and update Manufacturing (MFG) Plans, including a 4-week forecast; import relevant dates into the ERP system.
 * Set up and maintain production line schedules.
 * Forecast and plan car shell and bogie requirements based on production line schedules.
 * Chair weekly and daily planning meetings; coordinate and update internal plans, including end-of-cycle activities.
 * Support Core and other planning-related meetings. Communicate the limitations (line capacity, resources…) that may exist for the fulfilment of the plans of the Programs and prepare proposals for mitigating the impact of possible deviations.
 * Report key performance indicators (KPIs) and update client plans.
 * Participate in Tier 2 and Tier 3 meetings, providing relevant planning information.
 * Analyze site capacity (e.g., storage space) on a weekly basis, based on forecasts and plans.
 * Forecast, plan, and confirm logistics dispatch dates from the factory, aligned with internal plans.
 * Support program-related issues by developing "what-if" planning scenarios as needed.
 * Support the department with wider activities related to planning and control, as required.
