The Oxford Inherited Cardiac Conditions (ICC) Service provides multidisciplinary cardiology care and genetic counselling for families at risk of or affected by ICCs. Our service collaborates with the University of Oxford Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, the OUH Clinical Genetics Service, and the OUH Cardiothoracic Directorate. We run specialist MDT family-centred clinics.
The post holder will work closely with Consultants, Specialist Registrars, Genetic Counsellors, specialist nursing teams, cardiac physiologists, medical staff, radiographers, operational service managers, and a team of MDT staff within the Cardiothoracic Directorate. Responsibilities include providing clinical support, education, and input to develop patient pathways. The post involves working autonomously to manage a patient-centred nursing workload, developing services such as nurse-led clinics, telephone clinics, and providing clinical and psychosocial support to patients and families living with ICCs.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and compassionate senior cardiac nurse to join our established ICC team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiac nursing, an interest in ICCs and cardiac genetics, and a desire to advance their specialist knowledge, interpret cardiac investigations, and develop expertise in ICCs and genomic medicine.
