The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to teach across KS3 and KS4. This is a full-time position starting in January 2026, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that develop students’ literacy skills, critical thinking, and love of literature.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach engaging and high-quality English lessons
• Support students’ progress, confidence, and well-being
• Collaborate with the English department and wider teaching team
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Follow school policies and effective behaviour management systems

What We’re Looking For
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
• A positive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
