ROLE: Mechanical Engineer/ Mobile Maintenance Technician\n\nCommitted self-motivated mechanical engineer to undertake preventive and reactive maintenance for a growing company\n\nLOCATION: Gloucester. Based 50% at depot / 50% traveling to clients (working away 2/3 nights a week)\n\nHOURS: 7am – 4pm (Mon – Thurs) & 7am – 1pm Friday – 40 hr week with some call out and weekend work as enhanced overtime\n\nAs a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting both reactive and preventive maintenance on large plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance, utilization, and availability. You will also carry out repairs on equipment, including mechanical hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and valves.\n\nA strong commitment to health and safety is essential, as you’ll be expected to consistently apply safety protocols and use the appropriate PPE throughout all maintenance activities.\n\nSuccessful candidate will have completed a recognised mechanical engineering or general engineering apprenticeship or training (City and Guilds, NVQ, ONC, HNC, HND or Degree) or in a relevant discipline.\n\nYou will have experience working on large static capital plant equipment such as Conveyors, Balers, Compactors, Shredders, Pelletisers, Crushers, Screeners, Quarry Equipment, Production Equipment etc.\n\nHealth and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH beneficial but non-essential\n\nPREVIOUS ROLES: You may have been a Service Technician, Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Technician Mechanical Engineer, Plant Fitter, Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Technician.\n\nSevale Activities\nThe company services, refurbish and rebuild medium to large pelleting machines, and gearboxes both on-site and on client sites.
It also has on-site manufacturing facilities, and manufacturing parts required to support the servicing and refurbishing activities
