Responsibilities
You will assist with:
1. Tender cost preparation and project handovers
2. Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documents
3. Site surveying and measuring works
4. Preparing valuations, variations and payment applications
5. Subcontractor procurement, orders and account management
6. Cost control, budgeting and cash flow forecasting
7. Financial reporting and maintaining accurate project records
8. Liaising with site teams, subcontractors and clients
9. Identifying commercial and contractual risks
10. Attending sites across the UK as required
Requirements
Essential:
11. Strong numerical and analytical skills
12. Excellent attention to detail
13. Good communication and teamwork abilities
14. Organised with strong time management skills
15. Proficient in Microsoft Office
16. Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
17. Degree or studying Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar
18. Experience in a trainee QS, assistant QS or commercial support role
19. Knowledge of JCT or NEC contracts
20. Working towards or interested in professional accreditation (RICS/CIOB)
21. Construction or subcontractor environment experience
