Job Description:
Location: European Economic Area (Remote)
The Sustainable Energy Portfolio Manager oversees both supply and demand considerations in energy portfolio management. The role involves advising on strategies for our Commercial and Industrial customers, working with international Advisory Services teams responsible for account management and business development. As the business scales with global corporates, the goal is to maintain a robust, continuously improving energy portfolio that maximizes value in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advise clients on energy supply management strategies, including commodity risk policies, risk management, hedging, and renewable purchasing programs.
* Provide market insights through reports, meetings, and presentations, supported by regional consultants.
* Educate clients on industry trends, market landscape, and regulatory changes.
* Assist clients in implementing renewable energy strategies, including power purchase agreements and roadmaps.
* Lead energy sourcing workflows with Analysts, including RFPs and bid analysis.
* Collaborate with the technology team to enhance energy management software.
* Maintain excellent customer service through proactive communication and planning.
* Build and develop relationships within client organizations.
* Create and execute strategic plans to enhance customer value and identify new business opportunities.
* Support pre- and post-sale activities to drive success.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in energy sectors such as advisory, demand management, and regulatory policy.
* Knowledge of natural gas and electricity markets.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, even with incomplete data.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, database queries, and cost modeling.
* Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and pricing structures.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a corporate energy setting.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Relevant certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
* At least 2 years of customer-facing experience with proven results.
* Additional energy sector knowledge and programming skills (e.g., Python) to enhance modeling.
