If so, we want to hear from you! Randstad Education is actively looking for Primary Teaching Assistants for a particularly rewarding opportunity at a specialist primary school in the Wakefield area. We are looking for empathetic and resilient staff to support pupils with complex Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Specialist Primary Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in creating a secure and supportive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

* Working closely with pupils with complex needs, including those who are non-verbal, to facilitate their academic, social, and emotional development.

* Facilitating and supporting non-verbal communication methods, such as PECS, Makaton, or communication boards.

* Providing compassionate and dignified personal care, as required, to pupils with physical and health needs.

* Working closely with the class teacher and other support staff to deliver bespoke learning activities that meet each pupil\'s individual needs.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

* A proven background in a specialist or mainstream setting where you have supported pupils with diverse needs.

* An Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).

* The legal right to work in the UK without any restrictions.

* A resilient, patient, and highly compassionate approach.

* Experience with personal care is advantageous, but a willingness to undertake it is essential.

* Specific training in areas such as Team Teach, Makaton, or PECS is highly desirable.

* You\'ll have a personal consultant to guide you and support you throughout your placements.

* Access to a range of training and development opportunities to help you grow your career.

* Earn £300 in shopping vouchers for every successful referral of a teacher or teaching assistant.
