Our client Dorset Council is seeking an experienced ADMIN ASSISTANT (VEHICLE MANAGEMENT) to join them on a temporary basis at their vehicle workshop. The contract is until 31st May but this could be extended. The successful candidate will provide clerical, administrative and secretarial support to officers within a designated function, either in support of a designated officer(s) or to the team as a whole.
Main Responsibilities
1. Undertake general administrative duties which may include word processing, diary management, handling telephone calls and dealing with to customers.
2. Specific duties include, creating and updating job cards, making MOT bookings including dealing with customers including taking payment, filing, liaising with parts suppliers and other suppliers.
3. Support the maintenance of data systems as appropriate by way of data input and/or extracting data to provide requested management and/or financial information.
4. Undertake any clerical and administrative support duties specific to the post which may include updating spreadsheets, ensuring pages on the website are up to date.
5. Liaison with internal staff and external customers, as a point of contact for the team. Providing advice as appropriate and/or referring enquiries to the relevant officer.
6. Assisting with financial administrative procedures as required, such as processing travel claims.
