Senior Dosimetrist

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Band 6 Dosimetrist to join our dynamic radiotherapy team.
As a Senior Dosimetrist you will plan and deliver high-quality radiotherapy treatments, working closely with clinical oncologists, therapeutic radiographers, and medical physicists. You will produce accurate and efficient treatment plans using advanced treatment planning systems, ensuring compliance with local protocols, national standards, and best practice guidelines.
Main duties of the job
* Carry out radiotherapy treatment planning as part of a team in the Treatment Planning Service
* Liaise closely with a wide range of staff in Oncology and Radiotherapy, including medical staff, physicists, technicians, and radiographers.
* Support developmental work within the department.
* Work as part of project‑based teams to assist in the development of new techniques and processes.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Vocational Degree or Radiotherapy degree or equivalent
* Working towards HCPC or RCT registration
Experience
* Specialist training in treatment planning techniques and volume delineation
* Experience of Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) treatment planning and Experience with Eclipse and EthosA+I
* Experience with Eclipse and Ethos

Salary: £39,959 to £48,117 a year (Pro Rata for Part Time)
