Overview
We have an exciting new opportunity in AXA Health to join us as a Digital Product Designer on a 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting into the Head of Digital Product, you'll lead the product design process, from initial discovery to final design delivery, working closely with a team of product managers, designers, engineers, insights and research specialists. We support flexible working arrangements between home and office; you’ll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, with potential to move to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. Flexible arrangements can be discussed with Talent Acquisition.
What you'll do
* Leading the end-to-end design process for your product domain, partnering with product managers, CX professionals, content marketing strategists and engineers to iterate and oversee the user experience of a digital product from conception to launch
* Creating user flows, wireframes, UI designs and prototypes when appropriate, and working with front end developers to ensure design system components are included and accurately executed in our component library as part of the software development process
* Ensuring our digital design and visual language is consistently applied and conforms to AXA group digital brand guidelines, and adheres to the latest WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards
* Being an active participant and contributor to the AXA Health and UK&I digital design community, sharing best practices and leveraging cross-group capabilities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of digital design and development
* Playing an active role in discovery, user research and usability testing of your designs and prototypes, ensuring designs meet user needs and products are intuitive and easy to use
* Becoming a primary member and contributor to AXA Health (and UK&I group) Figma design system. Managing the development, expansion and evolution of the design system, component library and visual language
Qualifications and requirements
* Proven experience building, designing, launching and managing consumer quality digital products and services
* Strong understanding and practical experience with design prototypes for multiple devices and break points
* Competent with design tooling such as Figma, Illustrator and After Effects
* Ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels across engineering, product management, product marketing, user research, CX and other business areas to co-create solutions to customer problems
* Agile mindset to identify and compare the best processes or delivery methods to use, including measuring and evaluating outcomes
* Proactive and relentless approach to self-improvement and appetite to stay in tune with digital business, the latest design methods and standards including accessibility and market trends
* Customer focused with an in-depth understanding of user-centred design principles, and represent the customer in all decision-making
* Advocate for product design practices to help grow a culture of user-centred, product-oriented digital product and service development
* As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom
