3-month contract position with a local authority
Summary
* This is a 3-month contract position with a local authority, designed to work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists and other health professionals. The role focuses on interpreting referrals and delivering timely adaptations for individuals with disabilities, aiming to prevent hospital admissions and facilitate hospital discharge or intermediate care programs. The successful candidate will ensure all assigned work meets the required quality standards, specifications, and agreed timescales
Responsibilities
* Complete plumbing and other adaptation works as instructed, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards, and timescales.
* Liaise with assessment staff to ensure effective service delivery.
* Ensure all works meet required standards and comply with current legislation.
* Deliver a customer-focused service, maintaining professionalism and empathy.
* Identify and report defective materials and undertake remedial work as required.
* Work as part of an integrated team with allied health and social care professionals.
* Participate in a seven-day service or extended hours (8am–8pm) to meet Care Act 2014 obligations, if required.
* Take responsibility for all tools, materials, and equipment assigned to the role.
Essential Experience Required
* Proven experience in plumbing and adaptation works.
* Experience in delivering services within agreed timescales and quality standards.
* Previous exposure to working with vulnerable individuals or in a customer-facing role.
Essential Qualifications Required
* Good standard of education (minimum Level 2 or equivalent).
* Practical skills in plumbing and general adaptation works.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.

* Working hours: 35 hours per week
* Location: Conleach Road, Liverpool, Merseyside, L24 0TY, United Kingdom
* Enhanced DBS required.
