Position: CNC (Miller/Turner) Machinist - £33,000 per annum + Paid Overtime
Based: Bedford working rotational AM & PM Shifts – Monday to Friday

This permanent career opportunity is based within the Bedfordshire area and will support the high precision engineering needs of this world-wide acclaimed manufacturer. Working as part of a highly skilled and experienced manufacturing team, your CNC milling and turning skills will be fully utilised for the setting and operating of high spec and manual CNC machinery.
Key responsibilities
* Operating and setting CNC tooling operations for the milling and turning machinery, responsible for producing precision components
* Load/unload components manually or by crane, dependent on size and weight
* Set the CNC machine tools to program settings, working across multiple tooling stations, whilst operating semi-automatic gear shaping cutters to process internal and external gears or racks on all shaping machinery.
* Refer to all customer specifications, working with a range of measuring equipment (micrometres, calipers and verniers)
* Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings with accuracy, responsible for all first-off inspection and quality checks
* Report to management any tooling or machinery defect to minimise downtime and scrappage
* Conducting the relevant checks to ensure parts meet exact customer expectations and manufacturing standards
* Maintaining a safe and clean working area, contributing to a culture of excellence
About you
* Proven experience in CNC machining with solid competency in both milling and turning
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings, Geometric Tolerancing, and tooling
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
* Flexible approach to rotational AM and PM shifts
