This role focuses on supporting a key highways projects in the South of England, offering flexible arrangements and a rolling 6-month term outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead or support the design and assessment of sustainable drainage systems (SUDS) for highways schemes.
Work within a multi-disciplinary design team to deliver drainage solutions in compliance with national and local standards.
Prepare and review technical drawings, drainage models, and design reports.
Engage with stakeholders and review planning, environmental, and regulatory constraints.
Contribute to flood risk assessments and drainage impact studies.
Skills & Experience:
Strong background in drainage design, particularly for highways or infrastructure projects.
Proficiency with relevant industry software, such as:
MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage
AutoCAD Civil 3D
GIS tools (desirable)
Familiarity with current design standards and guidance (e.g., DMRB, CIRIA SuDS Manual).
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a wider team.
Desirable:
Experience delivering projects under local authority frameworks or National Highways.
Chartered or working towards chartership (CIWEM, ICE) - preferred but not essential.
